Please Read Carefully: An Exhibition of Instruction-Based Art

At this juried exhibition of instruction-based art, ‘gallery-goers’ become ‘collaborators’ as works were activated in real time. Artists from all around the Internet created sets of instructions for gallery visitors to enact, consider, resist, interpret or revise.
This exhibition was inspired in part by the instruction-based work of artists like Yoko Ono, John Cage, George Brecht, Miranda July, Lawrence Weiner, Marcel Duchamp, Piero Manzoni, Sol LeWitt, Bruce Nauman, and others.
