Over the course of a few weeks, Jay Ludden facilitated several workshops at the Madison Children’s Museum that garnered a conservative estimate of about 200 participants total. In each workshop, Jay worked with children, primarily ages 3-12, and their guardians to plant grass and beans in CD cases. Most participants took their cases home with them, but the cases that were left at the museum were arranged on a grid on the large windows in the 2nd floor Art Studio Classroom. This picture represents a small sample of the resulting installation.
