Art historian Katie Apsey stands between didactic labels she has just created at the Brooklyn Museum. Although Apsey’s curatorial/museum experience has been largely with historic art in encyclopedic museums, she is now striving to build bridges between the presentation of historic and contemporary art in museum settings.
