Course #608

Katie Apsey

Art historian Katie Apsey stands between didactic labels she has just created at the Brooklyn Museum. Although Apsey’s curatorial/museum experience has been largely with historic art in encyclopedic museums, she is now striving to build bridges between the presentation of historic and contemporary art in museum settings. By treating curation as an art form itself, how can museums contextualize and display objects in innovative ways.
