This image is taken from a series I am developing. Throughout this series I have explored variations of an image-manipulating technique that I devised, in which an image is turned inside out and stacked in mirrored, concentric rings. When I made this image I was thinking of the relationship between personal agency and the internet—against a disorienting surface of artificial structures and surveillance apparatus, passersby are rendered as truncated or mutated forms, allowed only to consume or bear silent witness.
