This is a handmade paper formed from Hosta leaves pulp with embedded seeds. It was placed in a plastic bag after forming the sheets to sprout the seeds. The plastic bag was frequently damped to help the seeds sprout but the unfavorable condition within the bag led to the formation of fungi. The fungi also spread easily by connecting to concentrated portions with seeds. This was used as a metaphor for what we feed the earth based on our selfish needs as humans. This project was intended for the sprouting of seeds which ended up in the destruction of the paper.
