As someone doing a non-artistic research, it was very hard for me to make up my mind on the illustration. I decided that a print screen from my presentation slides is the best illustration of what I have done. It presents a schematic structure of types of product placement in premodern Japan (Edo period, 1600s-1868) that I came up with. I also wanted to leave some slides on the side as they capture my “burning question” and give some “sneak peaks” of my potential research.
