This is a picture of Okonomiyaki, the dish we made with our guest Yoshi Asai. Yoshi is from Japan and taught us about many different types of food from the city Osaka. Some of these included Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki. As a class, we then made our own Okonomiyaki with the help of Yoshi. Okonomiyaki is a savory pancake made of cabbage, bacon, shrimp, crab, kimchee, and more. This was my first time eating Okonomiyaki and I got to make it myself! The beautiful pattern of sauce and toppings made it look and taste like Okonomiyaki from a restaurant.
